Their all mind tricks really, it basically plays with your color and gamma settings to achieve the "best" appearance. It seems to be hit or miss with many games. Sometimes it makes them look cartoony.

ahh, so you have used this before! I didn't know about it and I use radeon! (I know you can use on any)

like i said, it works on some, others meh. It's basically a brightness tool. But if you can never figure out a happy figure with your settings, this will do it for you.
