Should we add a MOD to allow Transferring of Trophy's?

^^ Not sure the community's thoughts on element being transferable cluster wide, but that mod can take care of trophies as well as element transfer.

All for trophies transfers....but the transferable ele?

That's a deal-breaker in my mind, ESPECIALLY with Extinction soon to come out, from what I can see it's going to make element a main resource. Also with Aberration, where you can craft element all day. That would make doing boss fights on Rag/Island to farm ele, useless.

Yes and no... To craft the amount of ele you get from one boss battle takes some serious prep. Elemental Ore is, after all, at the bottom of the map. Making 400 in a day is a loooot of material to go through.

Being a pve cluster, I don't see any advantages to being able to transfer element around if we can already pull everything else around, but I'm sure it's a feature that can be messed with inside the mod.

EDIT: 'Plus the fact that bosses still need to be beat in order to unlock engrams. It wouldn't exclude the boss battles, but could alleviates the pressure on getting squads ready and into an arena. I feel open ele transfer could invite smaller tribes up to tek tier. Solo grinding is far easier than solo arena.'

As for it interfering with Extinction, I'd say cross that bridge when we get there. Like flyers on Ab, if it's a game breaker for the map then obviously no.

Oooh i just saw this.

While i fully get that it COULD be game breaking. I think with our community being a pve one with the occasionally pvp event, it would actually IMPROVE the server, and server growth.

And like Phillandria said above, the bosses are still needed to unlock all the engrams and even be able to utilize them. So the bosses will ALWAYS be needed and have to be grinded. PLUS, we need boss trophies to get into Ascension right?? So we still have to do them for new players and anyone who wants those levels.

Also, if element is transferable, boss dinos wont be as "god like" meaning tribes SHOULD be more open to helping other players even if it means losing some dinos, because the element isnt the true goal, its just to have fun. Can say ive always wanted to try my pink theriz army in a boss fight, but am way to scared to lose all of them for no reason. The element being the only reward that is.


So basically, i think with the ele transfer, it would actually OPEN UP the options for the server and new events and new interesting game play styles.
We can if we wanted to already turn our whole base into tek, by bringing over the tek items, however, i have no interest in working for a month to get ele for a simple genny. However i AM interested in working alongside others to encourage/help them beat the boss so that they can experience tek as well Instead of getting discouraged by the fact that i have no interest in helping someone else out, to then split element, to "try out" a tek rifle or boots.

I think the scale of element on ab, vs the scale of element of rag skews tek in a major way. I have not ever once considered making a tek suit to bring to rag because i could never bring myself to waste element on that.

But if i could bring some crafted over, i would be more than happy to have an underwater shoot out, or a "tek boat battle"

I fully understand that transferring element to rag is not what wildcard intended, but i think that for our community, it could benefit us greatly in the way we play and organize events and such.

Open to questions and comments of course!

I agree with squid here. IF we can bring ele back n forth so we dont need to do boss fight or farm the ele that would be game breaking but in PVE style which would only do good.

With that said i would andso like to see people s opinion on the S+ Hatchery.

You all make very good arguments, and having read them and thought on it, (personally speaking) I would be ok with letting the ele transfer fly.

However, the only thing that holds me back is, as before mentioned, exceptions will/might have to be made for Extinction.
That being said, I know the way our community reacts to deprivation of quality'o'life.....sometimes not so well.
So if the community can take that into consideration, and truly supposes it will benefit us all as a whole, then by all means......les do eeet.

Also, Dude, when extinction comes out, I say we could full revisit the ele transfer and if it needed to be removed, well, maybe we could do "grind week" to let people stock up and then remove it, IF it really would ruin the extinction map!
Well, I'm thinking we could simply either, NOT run the mod on THAT map all together, or just run it but disable element tickets (since all engrams in mods SHOULD be able to be disabled).

But, we're on the same track, we'll burn that bridge when we come to it.....or cross it.... whateves (that saying never made sense to me). Just wanted to make sure that if problems DO arise with the mod, the community will need to understand if we have to either limit it in some way or all together disable it. From what I can deduce, it should not cause cluster-wise issues, but then again we thought the same thing about CF. :cry:

100% agree Dude, that is one thing i really like about the back end server management on ark. There are A LOT of options to switch things around.

BUT indeed glad we're all fairly on the same page.

Should we do another post/poll on this specific mod to see where the entire community really sits??

I mentioned this before too, sucks we cant use our trophies. And it certainly doesn't effect game play. If we could do all the differnt bosses on any server we wouldnt need to but thats is not possible.

I haven't looked into Tek stuff yet since I don't believe I'm strong enough to pursue it at this point. I'm presuming that the trophies have something to do with it. If that's the case, I understand that some of the bosses people talk about require teaming up to defeat them. For me, as a player who hasn't started with Tek yet and isn't part of an active tribe, if allowing trophies to cross servers would mean I could join other teams/tribes in the future (whether they come to Island or I go to another server) then that would make it much less terrifying to try my hand at defeating the bosses.

Trophies are drops from dinos inside an ark when you kill them (Argy talon, spino sail, thyla claw, etc.). These trophies are required to initiate boss difficulties on different maps.

"Issue" for you would be, when you get to the point on island that you were done with island bosses, and ready to try Rag bosses. It would require you to come to Rag and start over on farming up all the trophies there instead of taking any that you already had from Island life.

Then when you beat the rag bosses, you could take all your dinos, structures, and life back to Island, but left over trophies and the element you won would have to stay behind on Rag. Artifacts can already be moved around the cluster, but trophies cannot.

This mod would allow for initiate trophies/rewards to travel with you between arks, as well as allow you to craft element on Ab to take throughout the cluster.

I personally don't mind that if the trophies are just for solo boss encounters. I am more interested in cross server transfer of trophies if it allows me to participate in more group events. In a nut shell, this is what I'm trying to say :)

Ok in order to allow Trophy Transfers we will need this MOD.....

This will bring our total server mod count to 7. Keep in mind we are a Mod-Lite server cluster. So we want to be real selective about adding further mods.

Poll will be for 2 weeks, just to make sure everyone has a chance to vote. For the MOD to be added we need at least 75% majority to be in favor.

I definitely agree to the trophies. It never made sense that we couldn’t. The ele, I can see arguments on both sides so I will go the popular vote. I personally would love it as I have done the boss fight to unlock the engrams but it can be hard keeping up with the fuel for the tek stuff. That is all!

As soon as i get the options configured i will add the mod in, possibly today, although i'm not sure. Ill announce when before I plop it on there. In the meantime everyone who doesn't already have the mod should add it. Ill get it posted to the MOD pack, and on the Info pages for the servers!!
